RTO Business Development

Peter, the Principal of EDC Services successfully provided  strategic business development (Fee for Service) support, contract and contract management advice to TAFESA Institutes ($300m, 3,300 staff).    He has over 6 years in VET sector (TAFESA). was the SA Executive Officer of VET Australia,  and provided a commercial and business development focus to TAFESA with strong understanding of industry training needs.  For TAFE SA Peter undertook analysis of commercial revenue for the three TAFE SA Institutes  including identification of key clients (and their value), sourced from raw financial transactional data (multiple systems) and created reports using MS Access queries, presented using MS Word and Excel.  Assisted TAFE SA programs and workgroups to identify Fee-for Service (FFS) strategies. Proposed business solutions that ultimately increased commercial FFS revenue by 12% pa over a 3 year period.

Peter has provided workforce development modelling and analysis for clients.  For example  he undertook modelling of the workforce development needs of the Maritime Skills Centre (MSC).  This involved extensive MS Excel spreadsheet modelling of a 13 years workforce plan (incl. sourcing), training planning (incl. RPL), training load (normalised and spread over 13 years), and training investment (a. P&L for MSC)   Ultimately it provided the basis for business case for the Maritime Skills Centre ($15m).
